Wading into Blue Teal Carbon: A Walk and Talk experience.

Researchers from Flinders University and SARDI Aquatic Sciences will take you on a walk-through coastal swamp paperbark forest (Tokuremoar Reserve) to talk about teal carbon and then on to saltmarsh (Hindmarsh Island) to talk about Blue Carbon. The team will share their knowledge and recent research on the relevance of these ecosystems for climate mitigation (carbon capture) and a variety of co-benefits for biodiversity and people.

What to bring:

The walks are limited to 15 people and require solid footwear and clothing to suit the weather. Please bring your own water etc This will be a tour from this location and then on to Hindmarsh Island, in your own vehicles. Meet at the end of Redclift Street Goolwa Beach. sure where this bit goes:  

Please note: If there is more interest than proposed numbers above, we can look into offering 2x 15 people and swap locations, ie a group starting at Tokuremoar then head over to Hindmarsh Island, and vice versa, running concurrently.
