Dolphins, Whales & Me describes Mike Bossley's lifetime involvement in marine conservation, including campaigns against commercial whaling in Australia & internationally, the establishment of the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary, research into the phenomenon of solitary dolphins, dolphin culture, and the establishment of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary.
Mike was Australian of the Year (South Australia) in 2005 and was awarded the Order of Australia in 2006 for his marine conservation work. In 2022 he received a Lifetime Achievement award from the SA Conservation Council.
