Walking Tour: Kondoli - The whale journey to Granite Island

  • Ngurunderi statue, Causeway Granite Island Road SA Australia (map)

Ngudi Arndu Kondoli (Welcome Whales)

Join Ngarrindjeri tour guides from Kool Tours for a walk across the waters from Pultang (Victor Harbor) to Kaike (Granite Island). Your guides will explain the Ngarrindjeri connection to Kondoli, the whale.

The Kondoli story is very sacred to the Ngarrindjeri. It is the creation story of how fire was given to their people and why it must be protected.

The story also tells of the Ngarrindjeri connection with the land, waters, and cosmology through their whale dreaming stories.
