Bring your creativity and be part of a special community art project that lights up the Winter Whale Fest.
These free, hands-on lantern-making workshops are a chance to come together, connect, and contribute to something meaningful. Guided by talented local artists and cultural facilitators, each session blends creativity, storytelling and gentle skill-sharing in a relaxed and welcoming environment. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
Whether you’re a seasoned maker or a curious first-timer, you’ll help create the large creature lanterns that will be part of the lantern parade and the feeling of having contributed to something bigger than yourself.
Workshops will be held at Victor Harbor Town Hall on:
Monday 23 June | 3:30 – 5:00pm
Tuesday 24 June | 3:30 – 5:00pm
Wednesday 25 June | 3:30 – 5:00pm
Friday 27 June | 3:30 – 5:00pm
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking to allow someone else to participate.
Please note:
Suitable for ages 8 +
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or carer.
A separate Parent/Guardian/Carer Support Ticket must be booked for supervising adults.
Photography and filming may take place during the workshops. You’ll be asked for consent during the booking process or can let facilitators know on the day.
